Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. Laboratory experience is preferred to support diagnostic procedures and enhance patient care.

Duties

Examine animals to diagnose their health issues and determine appropriate treatment plans Perform medical procedures including vaccinations, surgeries, and dental care Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress during recovery Maintain accurate medical records for all animals treated Educate pet owners on health management, preventive care, and treatment options Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results to assist in diagnosis (laboratory experience preferred) Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education activities

Skills

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution or equivalent Valid veterinary license to practice in Ontario or ability to obtain one Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform a variety of medical procedures Laboratory experience is highly desirable for diagnostic support Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle diverse cases effectively
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,061.51-$135,291.73 per year
