Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventive care to ensure the well-being of pets and other animals. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners, staff, and other veterinary professionals to deliver high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose illnesses and injuries using veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Perform surgical procedures when necessary, utilizing aseptic techniques. Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed. Provide guidance on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures to pet owners. Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques to minimize stress for both the animal and staff. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting all treatments and observations. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training.

Experience


The ideal candidate should have:

Veterinary critical care experience is preferred but not required. Demonstrated experience in animal handling, including dog handling and equine experience. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and pet grooming techniques. Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and care practices. Experience with animal catheterization is a plus. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $140,000.00-$160,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
