Responsibilities



Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment. Assist with the restraint of animals for examinations and treatments. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with veterinary practices.

Qualifications



Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program is preferred. Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is desirable. Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is a plus. Proficient in laboratory skills and procedures related to veterinary medicine. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
