What is Required for the Position

• Mobile Crane Operator (339A) Hoisting Engineer License (minimum) required.
• Achievement Certificate (MTCU) Foundation Drill Rig Operator (Over 270 kNm Torque).
• 3 - 5 years experience in the shoring and foundations industry.
• Experience with the safe operation of Bauer and Liebherr drilling rigs.
• Excellent troubleshooting and hands on resolution of Vertical Rig related challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines.
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Good communication skills

The Job As an Earth Boring Operator you are experienced in the day to operations of vertical drill equipment. You have experience with pre mobilization planning, layout and equipment set up. Daily activity monitoring, you are hands on and are motivated to see that all components of the work are running to best performance. Productivity, you are on top of the tasks at hand and see that the crew is operating at peak performance at all times. You are a solutions oriented troubleshooter, with experience in preventing problems and fixing problems before they become show stoppers. The Tasks

• Monitoring drill controls and the progress of the drill operation.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to drill operations.
• Support and contribute to ongoing best practices for vertical drill works.
• Perform various outdoor physical activities and duties with the drilling crew.
• Assist with loading and unloading of heavy equipment and associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform minor equipment repairs on drills in the field when necessary (i.e. hydraulics hoses, cables, etc.).
• Assist in completing construction projects in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Complete drilling logs, equipment inspection reports, and other documentation.
• Ensuring safety practices and procedures are observed and followed.
• Communication of daily work, safety related issues and any other required project documentation.
• Daily cleaning of the drill rig to ensure peak efficiency and eliminate unnecessary wear caused by dirty equipment
• Additional duties may be required.
