Verafin Senior Software Developer (technical Onboarding)

Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Onboarding team, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering. In this role, you'll design and implement solutions that migrate data from banking platforms into Verafin's cloud-based application -- helping build the world's most effective financial crime-fighting network.
You'll fit right in if you're collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving complex technical challenges that make a global impact.
What You'll Do
- Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Postgres, Java, Scala, and Unix utilities.
- Define strategies for data flows to meet application requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver secure, scalable services
- Provide clear technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve coding practices and system performance.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of software development experience.
- Strong skills in Java and relational databases (Postgres).
- Experience with automated testing and cloud-based environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Scala and Unix utilities.
- Familiarity with AWS services and data migration strategies.
- Background in financial technology or regulated industries.
