We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Enterprise Data Integration team, reporting to Director of Software Development. In this role, you'll help shape how we design, develop, and support cutting-edge technical solutions. You'll work hands-on with the latest AWS technologies, unlocking the full potential of big data to solve complex, real-world challenges.
You'll fit right in if you're innovative, love working across teams and time zones, and get energy from tackling challenges that make an impact on a global scale.
What You'll Do
Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Spark, Postgres, Java, Scala and Unix Utilities
Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Verafin application
Partner with cross-functional data teams to design, implement, and uphold technical best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance--ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions.
What You'll Bring
A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
2-5 years development experience is required for this role
Experience in object-oriented software development (Java)
Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL)
An understanding of AI methodologies applicable to this area would be beneficial.

This position can be located in St. John's or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
