What Is in It for You:
The Strategic Vendor Management team manages SLC Management's key strategic vendor partnerships to ensure that SLC has access to the high quality and reliable vendor services needed to support its business objectives. As the Vendor Management Associate you will manage relationships with external data vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with internal policies and standards.
What You will Do:
Manage external vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Lead and manage projects related to market data, cost savings, and the implementation of vendor services.
Work closely with Trading, Operations, Investments, and Compliance teams to understand their data needs.
Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and maximize the value from vendor services.
Ensure that vendor contracts align with regulatory standards and company policies.
Interface with various corporate and project teams globally to drive positive outcomes.
Lead key operational and third-party risk initiatives across the team and broader SLC that drive efficiencies, ensure appropriate risk oversight, and support day-to-day business operations.
Develop performance metrics for vendors.
Accountable for centralizing, documenting, and maintaining strategic provider artefacts and market intelligence.
What You will need to Succeed:
2+ years' experience in market data and/or vendor management. Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities.
Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude and ability to collaborate and work effectively with a diverse range of people.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence is required to build relationships and influence peers and partners.
Ability able to assess situations through analysis and observation and develop creative solutions considering multiple alternatives and approaches.
Understanding of risk management requirements (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
Communicate confidently with a wide variety of audiences.
Address process breakdowns quickly, identify the source of problem, and develop solutions that eliminate wasted effort and inefficiencies across teams.
Raise difficult issues to encourage discussion, contribute to solutions and incorporate lessons learned into future actions.
Familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint, SalesForce, and data analysis tools.
