Your area of focus.
A Delivery Specialist at a dealership is responsible for managing the delivery process of vehicles to customers. Their role includes explaining vehicle features, ensuring that customers understand how to use their new cars, and providing a thorough orientation to the vehicle. They also handle paperwork, address customer inquiries, and ensure a smooth handover experience. Additionally, they may assist with vehicle inspections, manage inventory, and collaborate with sales teams to enhance the customer experience during the delivery process. The role requires excellent communication skills and knowledge of the vehicles being sold.
What drives your day-to-day?
Print and follow-up on PDIs (pre-delivery inspections)
Notify the F&I and sales consultant of any delay in delivery
Ensure at least 48 hours prior to delivery that the 2 vehicle keys are available
Inform the sales advisor of any anomaly on the vehicle before delivery
Install the license plate and ensure the vehicle is clean
Ensure summer/winter mats and winter tires if applicable, are inside the car
Ensure that FNI products are installed on the vehicle (i.e. Tints, Protex, Tag, etc.)
Make sure the gas tank is at least half full
Sign documents with the client and collect any unpaid invoices and relevant documents
Explain in detail the FNI products purchased and coverage
Explain the benefits of unpurchased products
Complete the electronic form for each delivery
Have the file checked by an F&I and activate the plate before the customer leaves the dealership
Stocking cars
Other related tasks as directed
