Wellington Motors is looking for a reliable, versatile, & high-energy individual to join our team as a Vehicle Acquisition Manager! You will be responsible for acquiring/purchasing used car inventory from Third Parties, such as online auctions, while overseeing the Vehicle Buyers handling private sales. Your Day to Day:
  • Analyze inventory profitability, sales volume, & new sources of vehicle supply
  • Assist in meeting goals/objectives, including meeting targets related to vehicles purchased & achieving gross profit margins for vehicles acquired
  • Manage inventory of vehicles purchased for resale
  • Review inventory daily to ensure proper mix & drive intelligent purchasing decisions
  • Provide leadership team with accurate reporting on trends, purchase, & gross profits
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly & on demand reporting that reflects activities associated with used vehicle buying
  • Identify, evaluate, & acquire vehicles at high-volume daily from Online auctions, fleet providers & dealerships
  • Monitor wholesale trends in the automotive market in Canada
  • Travel as needed to buying events including weekly auctions, if necessary
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Minimum 2 years automotive sales, used/preowned, or vehicle buying experience required
  • Ability to analyze & interpret large amounts of complex data
  • Process-oriented; superb attention to detail/accuracy
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Sound, practical business judgment, & problem-solving/results-oriented
  • Knowledge of & a desire to learn federal, provincial, & local laws that govern retail automobile sales
  • Valid Drivers License & a safe driving record is required
