We are responsible for all aspects of the vehicle logistics process including, truck and rail transportation, port processing, vehicle processing and shipping vehicles to the dealership\'s networks. 1) Level: Supervisor level 2) Position Summary As the Port Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate direct and control all outside operations within the port ensuring the customer finish vehicles received, loaded and/or unloaded under the policies, guidelines and established plans and priorities while meeting on-time performance and minimizing cost. This position supervises the decision support team and is responsible for statistics collection and verification, the preparation and distribution of finished vehicles by customer wholesale targets. Reports, and acts on behalf of the customers to resolve reporting issues and to implement related enhancements. Additionally, operates internal meetings, and coordinates external reports with other teams. 3) Essential job responsibilities
  • Supervises vessel planning activities prior to the ship arriving to port.
  • Ensures the load and discharge are performed accurately and timely with information received by Port.
  • Responsible for ensuring vessels schedules communicated and forecasted between GCI management.
  • Ensure PIO (Port install order) communicated and completed, not limited to including vehicle campaigns.
  • Monitor rail and vessel traffic inbound to Canada and outbound to destination.
  • Acts as a focal point for any customer and GCI issues that may arise with assigned vessel.
  • Works closely with Terminal management and customer service teams to ensure rail and trucking traffic is handled by the port in a timely manner.
  • Interacts with trucking and rail companies to facilitate the timely delivery for customer wholesale.
  • Completes required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Update and maintain GCI, customer vendor logistic system.
  • Investigating and reporting claims and warranty damages, received by Port, Vessel, Rail and Trucking.
  • Other duties as assigned.
4) Preferred Requirements: Experience: 4+ Years workingexperience in logistics, transportation or supply chain industry. Education: Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or business management or higher is preferred. Skills & knowledge: Previous Marine and railroad experience would be a strong asset. High Proficiency in TMS, MS Office programs are strongly preferred Understanding in collective agreement and unionized workplace Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget/resource development and strategic planning. Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and deliver through others. Proven ability to work in an international, multi-cultural environment with strong presentation, facilitation skills. Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills required dealing with customers and vendors Salary: From CAD $ 70,000 Per year Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $72,000.00 per year Benefits:
