Position Overview



The Valve Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and testing valves used in industrial systems to control the flow, pressure, or temperature of fluids and gases. Their responsibility is to diagnose and fix issues, perform routine maintenance, install new valves, and ensure proper functionality through testing and calibration.

Key Responsibilities



Inspect and perform routine maintenance on industrial valves to ensure proper functionality. Diagnose and repair faulty valves, seals, and actuators. Test valves for leaks, performance, and compliance with safety standards. Work with various valve types, including manual and automated, and their actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric). Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replacements. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all tasks. Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Key Requirements



Forklift Operator experience is an asset, but not required. Minimum Grade 12 Education Prior experience is an asset, but not required. Permanent resident of Canada Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, problem-solving and attention to detail. Valid driver's licence Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner. Ability to work independently and as a team. Eager to work and learn new skills.

Working Conditions



Positional Tasks Ability to lift heavy objects Work in varying weather conditions Must be able to work on feet for long periods of time Working evenings, weekends and overtime
