About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Value Engineering Manager
to join our global Product Development & Engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving value optimization across our product portfolio by applying
Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE)
methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in value engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and cost/value optimization in a regulated, innovation-driven environment.
We are looking for a person to:
Lead and facilitate VAVE initiatives across product development and engineering activities to enhance product value, reduce cost, and improve performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PD&E, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, procurement, marketing and external stakeholders to identify and implement value improvement opportunities.
Apply structured methodologies such as Function Analysis, FAST diagrams, and creative problem-solving techniques.
Develop and manage VAVE strategy, projects pipeline and performance metrics aligned with business objectives, in collaboration with upper management.
Provide training, coaching and support to internal teams on VAVE principles and tools. Champion a culture of value thinking across the organization.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the VAVE process.
About you:

To be successful in this position, you will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in value engineering or cost optimization.
Proven expertise in VAVE methodologies, including Function Analysis and Value Methodology.
Strong analytical and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated ability to implement and drive changes, implement methodologies and influence stakeholders through indirect leadership
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities across global and cross-functional teams.
Experience working in a matrixed organization and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Certification in Value Methodology (e.g., CVS, VMP) is a strong asset.
Experience in medical technology or other regulated industry.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Ability to travel internationally as needed to support business objectives.
