A career as a valuation expert in the Information Technology & Operations team at National Bank means participating in the transformation to have a direct impact on the client.

Being an Operations Appraisal Expert means protecting the Bank's interests, analyzing complex real estate loan applications, and interpreting the information gathered in order to make recommendations. This newly created position is responsible for serving the Corporate sector.

Your job

Review valuation reports of commercial real estate, critique assumptions and conclusions, validate compliance with risk appetite and applicable policies and standards, and provide a recommendation to various stakeholders on the valuation and quality of the underlying collateral Develop and deliver presentations and training in your field of expertise and act as an expert resource for the development of real estate valuation skills Ensure a periodic control and review of the various internal resources used when subscribing to a real estate financing file Evaluate the quality of inputs for evaluation reports made by our third parties and establish findings Support units in terms of evaluations (collection, security, etc.) Support and influence the different areas of the Bank, assist them in the interpretation of information and offer professional support Advise and guide partners and regional directors on the interpretation and application of the Bank's policies, standards and procedures Participate in the training of the sales force

Within the Personal Finance Operations sector, you are part of a team of 14 colleagues and report to the Senior Manager, Credit Origination. Our team stands out for its more precise expertise in the field of specific financing for mortgage products, personal loans and lines of credit, appraisal and EQI. Prerequisite

Industry-related bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience OR Industry-related master's degree and three years of relevant experience Hold the AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) or E.A. (Ordre des Evaluateurs agrees du Quebec) designation Two years of relevant experience in real estate appraisal Good synthesis ability Excellent analytical skills Good knowledge of the Canadian real estate market (Quebec and Outside Quebec) Interpersonal and negotiation skills Communication and knowledge transfer skills
