Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

EE Systems Validation Engineer

to join our team in validating and optimizing automotive electrical systems, including body, audio, active chassis, and safety components. This role involves developing test plans, designing automated test benches, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating across multiple teams to ensure top-quality vehicle electronics.

Key Responsibilities

Develop electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis, and safety systems. Perform extensive testing using CAN tools and traditional electrical testing equipment in a lab environment. Design and implement automated test benches to support validation activities. Troubleshoot complex automotive electrical issues and support root cause analysis of component and subsystem failures. Coordinate and conduct benchmarking to guide design competitiveness and product improvements. Lead and support cross-functional collaboration, including internal PDTs, program meetings, peer reviews, and program gate reviews. Develop lamp electronics design proposals, negotiate design trade-offs, and ensure interface compliance with vehicle electrical architecture. Support technical discussions for advanced component or technology development. Assist in creating and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for components and subsystems. Lead or assist Electronics Product Development Team meetings and support program management of new subsystems.
Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience with ASIL classification / Functional Safety (ISO26262) processes. Strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements for automotive systems. Familiarity with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet bus interface specifications. Hands-on experience with CANoe and CANcase tools. Proficient in schematic and PCB layout review. Experience designing exterior lighting electronics and integrating hardware with vehicle electrical architectures. Proven ability to lead product development teams and manage new subsystem programs. Excellent communication skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to travel across the USA/Canada border to attend meetings


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
