Join our team as we prepare to launch the Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Downtown! We are seeking a warm and dedicated Bellman/Valet Attendant

.

You will be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests, providing warm, professional, and attentive service. You will greet guests upon arrival, assist with luggage, provide information about the hotel and local area, and safely park and retrieve guest vehicles. Your role is key in creating an exceptional first impression and ensuring guests feel welcome, valued, and cared for.

Key Responsibilities



As the Bellman/ Valet Attendant you will report directly to the Front Desk Supervisor. You are the face of the hotel and a key contributor to the guest experience. You will provide friendly, authentic and efficient guest service to our guest in line with the Hilton's "Hamptonality" spirit. Your responsibilities include:

Guest Service and Operations



Welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor upon arrival and departure.

Assist guests with luggage handling, delivery, and storage.

Provide directions, hotel information, and local recommendations for dining, attractions, and transportation.

Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel amenities and services.

Assist with arranging transportation, tours, or other guest requests.

Valet Service



Safely Park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain vehicle logs, ensuring accuracy and accountability.

Handle guest vehicles and keys with the highest level of care and security.

Follow all safety protocols for vehicle operation.

Guest Satisfaction



Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries or concerns.

Proactively anticipate guest needs and offer assistance without being asked.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Safety and Compliance



Follow all Alberta road safety laws and Hampton Inn by Hilton driving standards when operating guest vehicles.

Adhere to occupational health and safety protocols while handling luggage or assisting guests.

Comply with

Alberta privacy laws

and Hilton brand policies when dealing with guest information.

Immediately report safety hazards, accidents, or security concerns to management.

Team Development and Collaboration



Support the front desk and concierge teams during peak times.

Assist fellow team members with guest service needs.

Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain high service standards.

Additional Responsibilities



Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, bell desk, and valet area.

Deliver packages, messages, and other items to guest rooms promptly.

Assist with special events, VIP arrivals, and group check-ins.

Assist with special projects or administrative duties assigned by the management team,

Support other operational areas during peak periods or emergencies to maintain guest satisfaction.

Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor and leadership team.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success and operational needs of the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements



Education & Experience



Previous hospitality, customer service or valet experience preferred.

Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

Skills & Attributes



Positive and outgoing personality with strong communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and make decisions effectively and in a timely manner.

Ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands and work schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
