Nucor Environmental Solutions is hiring for the following positions:

Operators for the

Lower Mainland

area.

These are on call positions. We respond to calls 24/7 365 days a year. Applicants must be willing to be on call and respond with no notice.

Wage is $36.69 - $40.26 per hour plus overtime, double time and night shift premium when applicable. Dependent on experience and Union Status.

This is a Unionized position. Benefits are provided through the Union.

Potential candidates must have the following:

Be eligible to work in Canada;

Have their own transportation to and from work. Clean drivers abstract is required. minimum class 3 drivers licence.

Willing and able to travel out of town, throughout B.C. and Alberta for projects during our Busy seasons (spring and fall) and as needed.

Must

reside in the area for which they are applying. This is

not

a fly in/out position.

Experience in the industry or a similar industry is required. Specifically one or more of the following. Wet vac, combo vac, dry vac, hydro vac, high pressure pump.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in daily pre-job safety meetings and risk assessments. Read, understand and follow company procedures for safe work practices. Assist crew members with rigging in/out of and completing jobs. Ability to work at heights, such as from ariel work platforms or scaffolding. Able to perform confined space entry work. Regular use of respiratory protection is required and requires workers to be clean shaven. Regular heavy lifting is required. completes daily driver log via ELD phone application. Preform pre trips and pre use inspections on equipment via phone applications. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Operates manual transmission. Utilizes spotters for equipment positioning. Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition at all times. Performs minor repairs to equipment as needed and discussed with site Supervisor Follows Nucor Environmental Solutions policies and procedures. Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Any other duties as assigned.
