We are seeking a UX Developer/Designer to lead the design and development of mission-critical user interfaces for defense and ocean technology systems. This role requires a deep understanding of complex user workflows, data visualization, and human factors in high-stakes environments. You'll work closely with engineers, system operators, and program stakeholders to build intuitive, secure, and robust interfaces that support situational awareness, mission planning, or sonar/underwater systems.

+ Lead usability testing sessions and incorporate feedback into iterative design cycles.

Front-End Development

+ Develop responsive, modular UI components using C++, Qt, CSS (e.g., SASS).
+ Integrate with APIs, real-time data streams (e.g., sonar or telemetry data), and GIS/map-based systems.
+ Implement front-end features with performance and security in mind for low-bandwidth or disconnected environments.
+ Ensure interfaces meet defense-grade standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

+ Work in multidisciplinary teams that include systems engineers, software developers, and human factors experts.
+ Translate complex technical requirements into usable interfaces for operators, analysts, and field personnel.
+ Participate in design and code reviews, security audits, and quality assurance processes.
+ Document design systems, component libraries, and interaction patterns for scalability and future reuse.

Qualifications
