Reporting to the Manager, Pension Communications, the UX Copywriter will support the Pension Communications team with our website project, which includes reviewing existing content targeted to members and employers on OMERS digital channels, including omers.com, and developing engaging content that enhances their user experience. The role will also include suggesting improvements to architecture and navigation as well as developing guidelines and processes for regularly reviewing and updating our digital content.

The UX Copywriter will work as part of a team to plan, write, review and repurpose content across our digital channels and publish new content using our Content Management System (CMS), Contentful.

Responsibilities:

Review and edit existing content on omers.com

Revise, repurpose and write new content for websites, emails, social media, etc. that enhances the user experience for key audiences, particularly members, employers and stakeholders

Make recommendations and, where applicable, lead the development of new multimedia content, such as videos, infographics, etc.

Manage content and publishing within the Pension Communications team\xe2\x80\x99s CMS

Update content on omers.com, myOMERS and e-access

Develop guidelines and processes for updating content

Track metrics and share regularly with the team for the purpose of continuous improvement

Ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels

Work closely with internal team members and other business partners to meet project objectives and deadlines

To succeed in this position, you have:

University or college degree in communications, marketing, journalism or public relations with 6+ years in a related field

Strong writing and editing skills, as demonstrated through published work

Ability to write content that focuses on the user experience

Experience in corporate communications; pensions or financial services would be an asset

Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for search engines

Experience using analytics and key metrics to report results

Experience using a CMS to manage content

Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

Project leadership skills, coupled with resourcefulness and a keen focus for detail

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to work with the team and independently as required

Strong relationship-building skills to build trust with internal stakeholders, in order to achieve results
