Job Description

:

Construction is Canada's premier utility contractor, as well as head of the and part of the Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy.

We are currently looking for qualified Utility Workers in the Thunder Bay, ON Region.

Requirements:

- Temporary workers needed until end of Dec 2022, potential to extend longer based on project requirements.

- Shifts currently 6 days a week, 12 hours. OT as per collective agreement.

- Positions available: 4.

- Must have a valid full G class drivers license or higher, with clean drivers abstract.

- Must have clean criminal record.

- Must be willing to work extended shifts, during the week and weekends.

- Must be willing to travel to southern Ontario for short duration of training.

- Must be willing to travel around Thunder Bay region as required.

- Living out allowance would be provided for travel away from home overnight.

- A basic knowledge of live line tools and limits of approach would be an asset.

- Must have an understanding of basic technology devices and application use (Apple Watch/iPhone).

- Experience with distribution/data collection would be an asset.

- Understanding of Book 7 traffic control would be an asset.

- Start date is ASAP, contract would last till Dec 2022.

- Utility worker wage package as per CUSW.

- Local to Thunder Bay, ON or within easy driving access.
