About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Managers Nutrition and Food Services, the Utility Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of cookware, dishes, utensils, equipment, trays and carts. They also assemble patient meals on patient care units, take patient meal orders, deliver patient meal orders, portion food items, and collect soiled trays, operate tow motor, and assemble nourishments.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Or demonstrated skills and/or relevant work experience, equivalency must be clearly stated in your cover letter and resume
  • Demonstrated competency in English and basic Math
  • Restaurant experience is considered an asset
  • Customer Service Skills considered an asset
  • Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Pot Room requires the following:
  • Heavy lifting (i.e. large industrial bake/cook ware mixing bowls)
  • Steel toe / safety shoes - employer will reimburse for cost of safety shoes up to amount noted in Collective Agreement
  • Physically demanding, repetitive tasks
  • Working Independently
