Utility Worker

Parkland West Bedford

team based in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity




Works as an integral part of a dedicated team in maintaining a clean, healthy environment for residents and staff Scrub and clean common areas such as hallways, entryways, elevators, stairwells Maintaining cleanliness of entire building - parking area, the exterior of building, emptying garbage around, cleaning stairwell, and other duties as required Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture, counters, shelving, walls, and window/door ledges Cleans sinks, toilets, and bath facilities in common area Uses microfibers as directed Advises Supervisor of any and all equipment malfunctions and repair requirements, as well as any relevant information and/or observations Takes every reasonable precaution to protect own health and safety and the health and safety of other persons at or near the workplace

About You




In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:


A high-school diploma or equivalent education Ability to use chemical cleaning agents and equipment Ability to read and write in the English language is required Current First Aid & CPR certificate is considered an asset A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care
