Join our Construction Services team and take on a leadership position where your expertise ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality work in utility and substation projects. As a Utility Foreman, you'll oversee and coordinate crews performing electrical work in high-voltage environments, including substations and related infrastructure.

This role offers the opportunity to lead skilled tradespeople, manage complex projects, and deliver exceptional results for our industrial and utility clients. If you're passionate about guiding teams, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring operational excellence, this is the role for you.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

Supervise and coordinate crews installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment in high-voltage substations, including transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and relays. Plan and monitor daily work activities, ensuring timelines, safety, and quality standards are met. Perform and oversee inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of substation systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, directing repairs or component replacements as needed. Manage oil sampling and analysis on transformers and breakers, maintaining accurate maintenance records. Oversee installation and termination of control wiring, fiber optics, and communication systems within substations. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures, including lockout/tagout and hazard assessments. Assist in outage restoration, switching operations, and emergency response when required. Mentor apprentices and junior electricians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements:



Valid Saskatchewan Journeyman's License. Experience in utility, substation, and high-voltage environments. Knowledge of electrical equipment, cable management, and medium/high-voltage terminations. Current Valid Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract. Proven leadership and communication skills. Ability to plan, delegate, and monitor work under minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on mentoring and developing crew members. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Physical ability to perform site inspections and assist with tasks as needed (lifting up to 50 lbs). Comfort working in varying conditions (noise, temperature, air quality) and at heights.

Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required.
