Job Description

:

The hourly rate for this position is: $33.75 per hour.

This position is required to work a rotating continental 12-hour shift pattern (6am- 6pm / 6pm - 6am) transitioning between days and nights.

Carmeuse will provide all required on-the-job and safety related training to all successful candidates.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Packaging of lime products and measurement of storage bins
• General manual labor tasks of production areas
• Various entry-level production positions, operation of material handling equipment and mobile equipment ensuring the work is effective and performed in accordance with all relevant standards
• Inspect and maintain mining process equipment associated with motors, controls, conveyors, crushing and screening equipment, mobile equipment and other equipment meeting quality workmanship standards in a timely fashion
• Observe, inspect & monitor process systems, equipment, and components reporting any issues or conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity to Supervision immediately
• Maintains cleanliness of work area that may include shovel stone/lime, housekeeping duties of process areas, maintain bathroom facilities
• Inspection and operation of mobile equipment that may include front-end loader, bobcat, forklift, and various yard and haul trucks
• Maintains appropriate records
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Perform other duties as assigned and qualified

Job Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED equivalency
• Technical knowledge of process and plant equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Heavy equipment experience is a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills
• Demonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic
• Fluency in spoken and written English
