Tasks

Keep record of work performed and location and condition of equipment Read blueprint, schemas and drawings Check, lubricate, refuel and clean equipment Operate various vehicles and equipment Report any malfunctions to supervisor Search, locate and repair reported water leaks Conduct routine survey of gas mains and distribution lines Provide information on underground gas distribution lines Observe excavation work to ensure that underground facilities are protected Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization
