We are seeking a highly motivated, sales-driven coach to lead our successful used car sales team. While GM experience is an asset, a strong background in used car management is essential.

The Used Car Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of our used vehicle operations, from appraisals and purchasing to reconditioning, merchandising, and sales. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving profitability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

+ Recruit, train, mentor, and manage the used vehicle sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets.
+ Lead daily and weekly sales and training meetings to ensure the team is well-equipped with product knowledge and sales strategies.
+ Set clear performance standards and provide ongoing coaching and support to help the team reach their goals.

Sales & Profitability:

+ Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and annual sales and gross profit objectives.
+ Oversee all aspects of used vehicle inventory, including appraisals, purchasing, reconditioning, pricing, and merchandising, to maximize profitability.
+ Analyze market trends and customer preferences to ensure inventory aligns with demand.

Customer Engagement & Satisfaction:

+ Ensure every customer receives exceptional service from the start of the sales process through to completion.
+ Implement a robust follow-up system to drive customer retention and satisfaction.
+ Address customer concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues as necessary to maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

+ Prepare and manage the department's annual budget, including sales forecasts and expense control.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations concerning used vehicle sales.
+ Oversee the reconditioning process, ensuring all vehicles meet Finch Chev's high standards before going on sale.
+ Coordinate with the New Vehicle Sales Manager to manage trade-ins and inventory needs.

Marketing & Merchandising:

+ Collaborate on the creation and execution of advertising campaigns and promotions to drive used vehicle sales.
+ Ensure the used vehicle lot is effectively merchandised to maximize appeal and sales potential.
+ Stay informed on auction activity and trends, regularly attending auctions to source high-quality inventory.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in used vehicle management with a strong track record of achieving sales and profitability goals. Exceptional leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire and motivate. Strong understanding of market trends, inventory management, and vehicle reconditioning processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions quickly. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
