Job Description

Reporting to the Foreman, the Dozer Operator focuses on backfilling and grading around installed water, sewer, and storm systems, working closely with the underground team to maintain proper compaction, protect buried infrastructure, and keep projects on schedule.

How You'll Add Value

Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment Adjust techniques based on soil conditions and jobsite requirement Maintain trench safety and avoid damage to installed utilities Perform daily equipment inspections, lubrication, fueling, and cleaning Perform pre-operational checks, including cleaning, lubricating, and refueling equipment as needed Understand and adhere to ground disturbance requirements Operate the dozer in successive passes to raise or lower terrain to the specified grade, using grade stakes or hand signals as references Use the dozer to level soil and move rock or debris Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating a dozer in active sites with other heavy equipment and ground personnel Operate additional heavy equipment as required to support project needs

What You Bring

Minimum 2+ years of experience operating a dozer Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a Driver's Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions Knowledge of construction processes, materials, industry standards, and OH&S requirements Familiarity with computerized controls and electronics Ability to work to specified grades using survey stakes, lasers, or GPS systems Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs occasionally
