Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Urdu, Somali, or Luganda Interpreters to facilitate effective communication across diverse settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpretation and translation skills, with the ability to accurately convey messages between Urdu, Somali, or Luganda and English. Duties

Provide real-time interpretation between Urdu, Somali, or Luganda and English in verbal communications during meetings, medical appointments, legal proceedings, or community events. Translate written correspondence and informational materials from Urdu, Somali, or Luganda to English and vice versa. Assist with written communication tasks by utilizing typing skills to produce accurate translations and summaries. Support clients or stakeholders by ensuring clarity and understanding through effective communication strategies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information. Collaborate with team members to improve interpretation processes and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Skills

Proven interpretation skills in both Urdu, Somali, or Luganda and English, with a strong command of linguistic nuances. Excellent translation skills with attention to detail in both written and spoken language. Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective dialogue between parties. Proficiency in typing for quick and accurate documentation. A background in linguistics or related fields is preferred. Bilingual proficiency is essential for this role, along with the ability to adapt communication styles as needed.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week
