Job Description

Scope of Position:

The Unregulated Care Provider shall provide personal care and other services to residents in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.

Shift Details: Part Time Evenings, 3pm-11pm (30 hours bi-weekly)

Key Responsibilities:

Provides services and interacts with residents and resident family members in a professional manner Administers medication to residents Completes all assigned paperwork Participates as a member of the care team and provides support to the other members of the Services teams Observes and adheres to all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations Assists and attends to care needs of the residents as required Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner Aware of employees and supervisor's responsibilities and follows all health and safety policies and procedures Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations Wears personal protective equipment (or clothing) as required by task, MSDS, or home policy Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Previous experience in providing personal care Valid medication administration certificate Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent Must be able to read and communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carrying heavy items

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.27 per hour
