As a University Campus Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling at the campus.

Responsibilities for University Campus Security Guard

Patrol critical areas to deter and detect suspicious activity. Control access by checking identification and monitoring secure areas. Complete daily activity and incident reports using the G-Track device. Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches. React quickly to threats or incidents and document all actions taken. Monitor and ensure proper functioning of security systems, including alarms and cameras. Handle alarms and perform on-site checks as needed. Manage crowds to ensure safety and order when required. Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents. Perform access control duties, ensuring authorized entry/exit. Operate site vehicles responsibly (valid driver's license required). Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications for University Campus Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid Manitoba security license First aid certification as asset Ability to stand and walk throughout shift Full class 5 advanced drivers license Provide a clean drivers abstract Ability to use technology based systems
