Who you are

You are an enthusiastic, motivated, communicative and active team-mate on your unit's People & Culture team and in your unit generally. You are disciplined, prioritize effectively and have a great deal of initiative. You are responsive and flexible in your business approach. You are computer savvy and are very comfortable with technology generally. You easily learn new software, systems and concepts and can clearly share this information with your unit. You have a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources or Team Scheduling experience You know what it's like to work in a matrix organization that requires you to work with multiple stakeholders from various functions and units. You know how to engage with them, collaborate with them and move the business
forward as a result.


You can be depended upon to act with a high level of professional and moral integrity, especially when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues. You would benefit from past experiences in the retail industry or a similar high-volume customer-focused environment

What you'll be doing day to day



o Ensure that the People Planning strategy, as established by the Country team, is fully implemented.

Responsibility for the People Planning process in the unit from forecasting to schedule development. Provide constructive feedback to the Country team as needed on this strategy. Serve as a Business Partner for all people planning-related matters within your unit. Ensure that the unit's people planning process helps develop our internal talent and enables them to deliver a high quality and personal customer experience Collaborate with Hiring Managers and P&C to align vacancies with forecasts and business priorities. Train and support all unit coworkers on their roles in the People Planning process. When making Business decisions, always consider compliance with local employment standards, legal, and union requirements, Equality and Diversity initiatives, Work-Life Balance and individual co-worker needs. Support the recruitment process by partnering with your Unit Hiring Managers and the Centralized Recruitment team, as needed Make sure high levels of problem solving, mediation and counseling skills are always used to work through day to day issues Regularly communicate and partner with your Unit P&C Manager and Country People Planning Manager on escalated issues as well as local initiatives and improvements Support Health & Safety compliance, improvements and programs.

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 55000 CAD to 65000 CAD and will be based on relevant work experience.
