About the role We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Group Benefits Unit Manager to join our growing team! As a Group Benefits Unit Manager, you will deliver on operating plans, efficiency targets, and people management activities. You will achieve this by developing, coaching and leading your team to deliver the planned results. You will be working in collaboration with a team of experienced and enthusiastic leaders, subject matter experts, and support teams to help you and your team succeed. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:
  • Strong Customer Experience background. Both internal and external customer focus with the ability to speak with external parties including Plan Sponsor representatives
  • Ability to handle complex issues with a proven ability to adapt to changes quickly and easily within the business and organization.
  • Experience managing in a telephony environment.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Expert problem solver in a matrix environment
  • Ability to provide and present regular updates to Group Benefits leadership team.
  • Complete governance and quality assurance that align with internal and external audit standards.
  • Execution of Initiatives, as agreed upon in the strategic roadmap.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for questions, training, support, and escalations.
  • Facilitates one-on-one meetings to discuss progress, development, and performance reviews.
  • Assists in problem solving to ensure accuracy and compliance standards.
  • Leads in researching best practices and sharing with the team.
  • Conduct reporting & regular updates of KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Ability to use data to create and compile reports and inform decision making.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify, handle and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Build and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills at various levels of the organizations.
  • Ability to balance competing demands in an autonomous environment.
  • Drive high levels of employee engagement through execution of personal and team action plans

  • A full understanding of Group Benefits products/financial arrangements including underwriting practices, compliance, and vendor management, is considered an asset.
