Unit Manager
Job Description
The unit manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the MCH Emergency Department including direct supervision of frontline staff. The unit manager interacts with physicians, nurses, other unit staff and departments on a daily basis. The unit manager facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient care. The unit manager coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff and provides clinical support to patient/resident care by exception only. The unit manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:
Baccalaureate of Nursing degree (BScN) required. Current registration (in good standing) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.Additional Required Qualifications:
Charge nurse experience required. Proficient in a computerized environment including MS Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications:
