Unit Clerk- Full Time and Part Time

Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc. operates Crown Ridge Place Long-Term Care Home, located in Trenton, Ontario and Westgate Lodge Long-Term Care Home, located in Belleville, Ontario.

Our team is currently hiring a:

Full-time Unit Clerk 40 hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

&

Part-Time Unit Clerk 15 hours weekend shift 9am-5pm

Join our team as a Unit Clerk starting on a temporary basis at Crown Ridge Place in Trenton, with an opportunity to transition into a permanent position at Westgate Lodge in Belleville.

What you can expect to do



Provide clerical and administrative support to nursing and care teams, general office duties, and filing Answer and direct incoming telephone calls with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Maintain and update resident lists, charts, and documentation accurately Assist in scheduling appointments, coordinating resident services, and relaying messages Coordinate resident appointments with families and the transportation assistant Support communication between departments, residents, families, and external providers Promote and maintain confidentiality and respect for all residents and staff Provide professional clerical support to the departments by assisting with the completion of schedules and arranging for call-ins to ensure proper and approved staffing levels Greets visitors; determines the purpose of the visit, and directs the visitor to the proper location or person Presents a positive image of the facility to the public, conducts tours, and liaises with families as required Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislations

What you need.



Minimum one-year post-secondary diploma in office administration, clerical studies, medical records or equivalent Experience in an administrative assistant role is essential, in the healthcare industry is preferred Strong Computer Skills: Proficient with modern software applications and technology platforms; able to quickly learn new systems such as MS Word, Excel, e-mail, internet use, and computerized documentation. Experience working with scheduling software for up to 100 employees Excellent Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and effective communicator--both written and verbal. Outgoing and Personable: Approachable with a friendly demeanour; able to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Creative Thinker: Brings fresh ideas and innovative approaches to challenges and daily tasks. Problem Solver: Takes initiative to identify issues and develop effective, efficient solutions independently or collaboratively. Self-Motivated: Demonstrates strong initiative and can manage time and priorities without constant supervision. Team Player: Works well as part of a team, contributing positively to group dynamics and shared goals. Independent Worker: Equally comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
