Carecor Health Services Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Unit Aide to join our healthcare team in Halifax, NS. The Unit Aide plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of clinical units by managing and maintaining supplies and equipment essential for patient care. This position requires a solid understanding of infection control principles to help maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.



Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, the Unit Aide provides both direct and indirect support for patient care, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of healthcare delivery. Job Qualifications





Our "exemplary standing" with Accreditation Canada is held in the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.


Previous Unit Aide experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred Ordering, Stocking, and Maintenance of Supplies Provide Safe Environment for Patients and Staff Cleaning and Disinfecting Up to date Communicable Disease vaccinations as required by Carecor standards; including proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B. Basic First Aid (CPR Level C) with AED - 1 day in-person training. Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years. Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate. Willing to undergo a Police Background Check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search as a condition of employment, with 'clear' results and renewed as required by Carecor policy.

Please note that, based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
