What it's like to be a Northbridge Underwriting Specialist
We are looking for experienced Underwriting Specialist to join our Mid-Market Manufacturing & Agriculture team. As part of our Commercial Lines group, you'll be responsible for evaluating and underwriting risks, building strong broker relationships, and delivering customized insurance solutions for our clients in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors.
You'll work closely with our broker partners to assess risk, negotiate terms, and craft policies that meet the unique needs of mid-sized commercial clients. You'll also collaborate with internal teams including Actuarial, Claims, and Risk Services to ensure sound underwriting decisions and exceptional service delivery.

If you are great at:

• Commercial Underwriting: Evaluating, selecting, pricing and negotiating mid-market commercial risks in manufacturing and agriculture.
• Broker Relationship Management: Building strong relationships with brokers through responsive communication and regular engagement.
• Risk Assessment & Solutioning: Developed tailored insurance solutions that align with client needs and underwriting guidelines.
• Collaboration & Communication: Working effectively with internal teams and contributing to a positive, high-performance culture.

If you have:

• 5+ years of commercial P&C underwriting experience with a focus in Manufacturing & Agriculture
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• A customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering value
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP or FCIP designations
