We are looking for an energetic, experienced Underwriting Assistant to join our UA team. The successful candidate will provide support to our underwriters through collaboration and performing a variety of data processing duties associated with the underwriting function.

How you will create impact:




Completing the entry of new business, endorsements and renewals into the system and issuing policies. Training and mentoring less experienced staff, as well as assisting team lead or manager with workflow and creation of a team-oriented approach to meeting Regional and Corporate goals. Ordering risk inspections for underwriters, as requested. Preparing and maintaining basic file set up documents subject to the underwriter's approval. Obtaining additional information from Brokers as required by the Underwriter.

To join our team:




Minimum 2-3 years insurance industry experience, preferably commercial insurance. High School Diploma required. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses an asset. You have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; comfortable using pivot tables, formulas, etc.
