We are seeking an experienced Underwriting professional for an exciting opportunity within Financial Lines as an Executive Underwriter, based out of the Toronto office. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting publicly traded companies focused on lines of business including Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability and Crime.

About the Role

We are seeking an Underwriting professional for an exciting opportunity within the Financial Lines business segment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio focused on Financial Institutions.

What you need to know:

  • Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial insurance in addition to producing and underwriting new accounts from brokers within an assigned territory
  • Coverage analysis of manuscript forms with the ability to tailor them to specific client needs
  • Pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools
  • Presentations and marketing to brokers and insured\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Achieve assigned budget targets
  • Maintain profitability
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 1 year of Financial Lines experience managing a large and diverse book of business from multiple brokers
  • Post-Secondary Education OR equivalent industry education and experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals
  • Strong analysis and decision-making skills
  • The candidate will possess a strong drive to succeed
