Commercial Lines Underwriter - 20 month term
Here is what a typical day looks like
Gather and assess risk information to determine eligibility on risk for all general insurance
Assist in the development of new programs and maintain current programs
Communicate with clients regarding new policy issuance, changes, renewals and cancellations
Advise, interpret, and validate coverage based on policy terms
Issue policy changes, renewals, and cancellations
Support internal departments and branches with policy interpretation and technical advice
Prepare and submit monthly reports to Insurers
Process policy changes, renewals and cancellations
Assist with industry market research to ensure premiums and coverage are competitive
The value you bring
General Insurance Level 2 License required, CIP, or CAIB preferred
1 year with Underwriting experience an asset
Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal
Adept in retrieving customer data efficiently
Involvement in industry related associations and your community
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time) - 20 month term
Location: Remote in Canada (With Correct Licensing)
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
