Position Overview:

As the

Underwriter, Agribusiness & Commercial

, you will be responsible for underwriting commercial property, liability, auto, and agribusiness risks.

Your key responsibilities include:

Underwrite and issue new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations Analyze risk using internal tools, inspections, and third-party data Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to workflow efficiency Communicate underwriting decisions to brokers and internal stakeholders Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners

Requirements for the successful candidate:

3-5 years of commercial or agribusiness underwriting experience Background in agricultural or farm operations is an asset Post-secondary education or equivalent; CIP designation preferred Strong technical knowledge of residential and auto insurance Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting platforms Customer-focused and team-oriented
