We are hiring individuals who are looking for or have experience in fiber optic cable placement primarily underground and who have the ability to be insured and drive our company vehicles. This is an entry level labour job. Training is provided on the job. Individuals who excel in this role may get exposure to and/or training on Horizontal Drilling equipment.

Essential Functions

General labor to support the installation, repair and replacement of aerial and underground telecommunications lines Follow company safety standards, policies and procedures at all times Aspire to work in a team environment with increased responsibly being expected

Qualifications

MUST provide a driver's abstract and confirm a minimum 3 years continuous current insurance with no claims or convictions on record Must be ok with working out of town with extended possible overnight stays. Some jobs may be out of province Grade 12 or GED 1+ year of construction experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

Must be comfortable with heights and working outdoors in all weather conditions year round Hand tool experience (IE Drills, saws, jackhammers, ECT) an asset 6 months experience operating trucks and trailers preferred Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
