Underground Safety Trainer

Job Description

The Role



We are inviting applications from motivated, qualified, and experienced Underground OH&S professionals. This critical operational role forms an integral part of the site management team, responsible for delivering safety and training initiatives in alignment with site-specific procedures, internal standards, and statutory requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:



Develop and prepare safety and training records

Assess employee skill levels and deliver ongoing training as required

Conduct underground visits to review trainee progress and provide on-the-job feedback

Review training programs to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Own and track Common Core and Specialty Module requirements for the workforce

Communicate closely with management and supervisors

Reporting and data entry as required

Essential Criteria:



Minimum 5 years operational underground experience in all facets of the underground mining cycle

Underground Hard Rock Mining Supervisory Common Core

Train the Trainer Certification

Relevant Underground Common Core and Specialty Modules

Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word

Demonstrated use of safety data base systems

Criminal Record Check

Valid Canadian Drivers License with a clean driver's abstract

Willingness to work in a cross-cultural team

Openness to learning different mine development methods/approaches

Desirable Criteria:



Experience in INX InControl and InTution data base systems

Risk management qualifications and experience

Ontario applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
