Project Details:
Based at our project in the Northwest Territories, this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity.
Responsibilities:
The Underground Miners on our remote project in the Northwest Territories, may be responsible and accountable for the following:
Installing ground support with a MacLean bolter
Drilling development rounds with a Jumbo
Mucking development rounds with a scooptram
Loading & blasting development rounds
Installing mine services
Operating various pieces of underground mining equipment
Follow all policies and processes at the mine site and underground
Must be prepared to adhere to all legislated regulations and company Health & Safety policies and perform the role safely and ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority
Other mining related tasks as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 5 years working full-time in an underground mine environment
Experienced in installation of ground support
Experience operating jumbo, MacLean bolter, scooptrams, scissorlifts, and other underground equipment
Shotcrete experience would be considered an asset
Slinging / rigging experience would be considered an asset
Valid NWT blasting ticket would be considered an asset
Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs. repetitively and on a regular basis
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Experience working with a variety of crews and adapts well to working with others
Dependable and able to commit to a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation
Positive attitude and enjoys being a proactive member of a high performing team
Residents of the Northwest Territories area and candidates identifying as Indigenous are encouraged to apply.

This position involves frequent air travel to and from the work site. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 14 days on site, 14 days off site. For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test and pre-employment testing.
