Overview

Piannova Mind and Music in BC is seeking Contracted Student Tutors who are friendly, reliable, and supportive to provide one-on-one online lessons to students (Grades 1-10). Tutors working with younger children must demonstrate strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing teaching approach.

Duties:

- Provide encouraging, fun and engaging tutoring sessions in Math and English.

- Create a positive and supportive learning environment, especially for young learners.

- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.

- Assess students' learning needs and deliver lessons consistent with their school's teaching methods and curriculum guidelines.

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a Canadian university program.

- Strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy development.

- Prior tutoring or teaching experience for young children preferred.

- Able to use age-appropriate teaching strategies, such as games, stories, and visual aids, to make learning engaging and fun in an online environment especially for young learners.

- Clear communication skills with both children and parents.
