An exciting opportunity exists to showcase and grow your skills by joining our dynamic, inpatient team within the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) as an Undergraduate Nursing Employee (UNE). Using advanced competency skills, you will be responsible for treatment modalities such as central line care and access, delivery of medications and care of oncology/hematology patients within a multidisciplinary team. The successful UNE will be a key member of the team utilizing the Integrated Collaborative Practice model. The CCI provides comprehensive cancer services for Edmonton and Northern Alberta with the goal to lead in research and best practice by using innovative technologies and collaboration to optimize patient care. An Undergraduate Nursing Employee (UNE) position provides an opportunity for a UNE to develop further competency in the range and complexity of Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) practice. The nursing activities performed and level of supervision required is determined by legislation, standards of supervision outlined by professional associations, AHS and competency of the UNE. You will be guided by your education, experience and demonstrated skill level to play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
