Position Summary:
UCA will be required to provide laboratory demonstrations in-person in the anatomy laboratory using prosection, anatomical models, medical images and other media. UCA will also be asked to define and create new laboratory activities and facilitate small group discussions for a given topic on the human anatomy related to the course. UCA will be expected to participate in group meetings to prepare the labs and to reinforce the Anatomy Lab Code of Conduct during all sessions. Other duties will be discussed as required. UCA will be responsible for helping with the lab set up, retrieving specimens to present to assigned student groups, and upon lab completion, to return specimens to their assigned storage space as well as fully cleaning up the different stations area. Depending on the number of applications received, a select number of applicants may be asked to participate in an informal interview process.



Qualifications:
Must have previously taken and passed ANAT 314.Demonstrated ability to teach human anatomy. Great knowledge of the gross anatomy of the musculoskeletal system (bone, joints, muscles and neurovascular structures) of the head, neck, trunk, upper and lower limbs regions of the human body is required. Must be able to lead lab demonstrations emphasizing on functional and clinical anatomy; must have a good understanding of surface anatomy, prosection and medical imaging. Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication skills in English are essential.
