Job Description



Greenlight Innovation is the industry leader in fuel cell testing and manufacturing equipment. We are working closely with our customers to develop the next generation of hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyser technology.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TwinCAT PLC Programmer to join our team. As a TwinCAT PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software applications. Your expertise in PLC programming, system design, and industrial automation will be crucial in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and test PLC software applications using the TwinCAT programming environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics, functional specifications, and process diagrams.
  • Implement data acquisition, logging, and reporting systems to monitor and analyze manufacturing processes.
  • Perform system integration and testing to ensure compatibility and seamless communication between PLCs and other devices.
  • Conduct on-site installations, commissioning, and start-up of PLC systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on the operation and maintenance of PLC systems.


Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages with emphasis on Structured Text (ST).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or willingness to learn and adopt version control practices.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site installations and client support.
