Catch a Balloon (Pediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic) is looking for a passionate and energetic tutor for children with a diverse range of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning difficulties, Reading, Writing, Math difficulties, Low self-confidence and etc. As a contracted tutor with Catch a Balloon, you can expect the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide private tutoring services to students, assigned based on grade, subject, etc.

• Teach and tutor students in a small group

• Perform student assessment on first tutoring session to determine the assigned student\xe2\x80\x99s needs

• Create individualized, curriculum-based teaching plan for each student based on his or her assessment

• Provide students and parents with feedback on students\xe2\x80\x99 performance

Job Requirements:

• 2+ year of teaching or tutoring experience, and a minimum of one year experience working with children with special needs is required

• OCT or working towards OCT is an asset

• Graduates in education or current students enrolled in education degree

• Great Knowledge about current Ontario Curriculum

• Passion for education work

• Background record check report dated within the last 12 months

• Ability to work independently and autonomously.

• Special Education, Part 1, Learning Disabilities (basic)

• Special Education, Part 2, Combined Electives (basic)

• Special Education, Specialist, Behaviour (basic)

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 8 per week Salary: $27.00-$33.00 per hour Benefits:
