looking for a part-time, professional tutoring role? S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring & Test Preparation Services, an award-winning teacher-led tutoring service, is hiring qualified teachers to provide long-term in-home and local library tutoring to students in Orillia and Oro-Medonte.
We are seeking educators who are committed to student growth, can work a minimum of 4 hours per week, and are available for a full 12-month commitment.
Tutor in These Subjects & Grades:
Primary/Junior (Grades 1-6):
Math, Language (Reading & Writing)
Intermediate (Grades 7-10):
English or Math
(Ontario Curriculum aligned)
Work Hours
Make your own schedule; minimum 4 hours/week
Tutoring typically occurs Monday-Friday, September-June, 4:00-8:00 pm
Applicants must be able to commit for 12 months and start immediately
Pay & Benefits
$32-$43/hour, based on teacher qualifications, experience, and location
Compensated travel, team meetings, and No Shows

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Education
Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification or Transitional Certificate
Previous classroom teaching or tutoring experience
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (upon hire)
Reliable transportation
Ability to commit to minimum 4 hours/week for 12 months
