Job Overview

Sylvan teachers are responsible for creating a positive personal learning experience for students K - 12 in Reading, Writing and Math. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. We design the programs, provide the materials and lesson plans and supply the students. All you have to do is teach! No planning, no reports, no parent meetings. Just working with keen students, eager to learn. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Regular raises based on hours worked

Duties

Develop rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm Manage 3 students to create a balanced and robust instructional session Evaluate and record progress of each student Use praise and encouragement to ensure students are engaged and inspired to learn Communicate specific student needs to Directors Attend staff meetings and completes ongoing training as needed

Skills

Strong tutoring and teaching skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and parents Experience working with children in an educational setting, demonstrating patience and understanding Classroom experience is preferred, showcasing familiarity with diverse learning styles Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 15 per week
