Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with excellent communication skills and experience working with children. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. The focus of this role is middle school and high school English (grades 6 to 12) Math and Science (including Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology). French is an asset.

Duties

Provide small group (maximum of 3 students) tutoring sessions in designated subjects. Monitor students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor lessons effectively. Using provided materials to support individual learning styles. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a classroom setting, or working with children in the same capacity. University student or recent graduate in a science field (BSc, MSc, etc.) or in progress. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding of their needs. Ability to adapt teaching methods based on the diverse learning styles of students.
